Listening Guide

This section will feature the cream-of-the-crop, the best of the best when it comes to unitedcypher productions.  New to the site?  This is the perfect way to get an introduction to what we do!

"unitedcypher presents" is our show of other shows like Anime Alphabet and Fallout Forecast as well as older improv radio where nearly anything can happen, though it's mostly a compilation of our collective life experiences mixed with a bucket of lies and half-cocked accents.

Anime Alphabet Series Wrap-up

The end of this series a good place to start.  Join Evan and DeHart as they reflect back on the completion of this 6 month project with special guest Cheats.  They relive some of the ups and downs of titles covered during the run of the show and serves as a good preview before going back and starting from the beginning.

The Mysteries of the Universe are unveiled!  Join ex-scientist and Poleitsher Prize winning war correspondant Paul Miller as he interviews a war veteran who was allegedly abducted and brain-raped by aliens, the publisher and co-author of a book on the aforementioned brain-rape, and a skeptic who thinks that both of them are denying the truth.... About Spacesquatch!

"Motion Picture Meltdown" is a movie review podcast without the sponsors or the prestigious hollywood trappings.  It is produced by Stephen and hosted by Stephen, Philip, Cheats, and DeHart along with the occasional guests.  It's a fast paced show that's hilarious from start to finish.

Ep 139 - The Safe Word Is Banana Pudding!

Welcome back to Not-So Superhero September for Motion Picture Meltdown! We continue our theme with a couple of crappy super-hero movies from the 90's. Phil, DeHart, and Stephen get together with Joel Mengel from The Pod People Podcast once again to roast through Sam Raimi's Darkman as well as Blankman.

Ep 206 - I Murdered Your Father, Wearing Your Father.

This week we kick off the new year by roasting through a couple of John Woo action "classics" from the 1990's. We go over the 1993 hit starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Hard Target as well as John Woo's follow up from 1995, Face/Off.

MPM: Ep. 308 - I Could Eat A Bunny For Hours

Hey everyone! Welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! We're late to the Action April party, but sometime uhh...life gets in the way. No problem, though. We're finishing up this week and kicking off the Monster Month of May next week! In this episode, I pick a couple Nic Cage 90's action films to roast, and we talk about Con-Air and The Rock. You'll hear us talk about our favorite 90's action flicks, how The Rock screws us out of a villain, and of course, Nic Cage's hair. Enjoy!

MPM: Ep. 267 - Handburgers & Footlongs

Hey everyone! Welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! We're continuing Action April with Dehart making a couple blind picks. He chose these two movies based on their action-acclaimed directors, but we actually were a bit surprised. This week, we roast through Tony Scott's Domino as well as Michael Bay's Pain & Gain. In this episode, you'll hear us create our own action movies based on real people, we talk about when action directors leave their comfort zones, and Phil mentions that he hates both Top Gun and Point Break...again. Enjoy!

MPM: Ep. 241 - Max Porpoise

Hello everyone! Welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! This week, Cheats picks the two movies in sneaky Cheats faction (it wasn't supposed to be his pick), and chooses a couple of video game based movies for us to watch. I know, there are SO MANY good ones to choose from, right? This week he picks Doom and Max Payne. In this episode, you'll hear us decide on which games we'd love to see made into a movie or miniseries, Phil gets super pissed off about a syfy door, and we think Mark Wahlberg was handed the script for Max Payne the day it was shot. Enjoy!

MPM: Ep. 150 - The People's Piercer

Hello everyone and welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! For the ENTIRE month of December we are doing movies that you, the listeners suggest us to do. The movies don't have to have anything to do with each other and we will do our best to accomodate everyones suggestions! This week, we go to some suggestions from one of our every-week listener, Cameron! She suggested we do a hot and cold podcast and roast through the mummy spinoff movie, The Scorpion King  as well the 2014 critically accalimed post-apocalyptic film Snowpiercer. In this episode, you'll hear us talk about our least favorite holiday songs, we talk about The Rock's "little elbow pad", and talk about the physics of trains plowing through ice. Enjoy!
